My camp Dutch oven cooking fun continued today as I try to get a lot of recipes under my belt in preparation for my next two camping trips in June and July. The plan for today was to cook Pineapple Dr. Pepper Baked Beans, grill some hotdogs, and then make Judy's Peach Cobbler for dessert. On paper that sounded like a perfect meal for this Memorial Day.
Everything came to a grinding halt when I pulled the lid off the 12" after 45 minutes of cooking! Hotdogs? We don't need no stinkin' hotdogs! Peach Cobbler? I don't have any room for dessert! If you could have seen or smelled or tasted those baked beans, you would know immediately why my original menu got scraped in a heartbeat.

This will be a great dish for the next picnic that requires a super side. I'd be happy to share the recipe with anyone that would like it. You don't have to have a big ole Dutch oven either.
