I have stopped to read the wayside signs, walked along Linn Cove Viaduct during its construction, hiked on paths that parallel it, collect its Passport stamps, display its stickers on my camping gear, have even tromped around in snow on it, and of course, photographed it.
Split-rail fences, old farmsteads, mountain meadows, and scenic overlooks with endless vistas make the Blue Ridge Parkway my special road . . . a road that has blessed my life.
