On our Thursday at Sadlers Creek State Park, with a map in one hand and addresses in another, we were off in search of fun. Our first antique shop had gone out of business, but our second, Apple Dumplin Antiques was terrific!
Next it was time for us to find something good to eat and that ended up being a BBQ eatery called The Pompous Pig. I knew they had an outdoor patio for the three pups and the three humans couldn't resist the name. The aroma that hit us when the car doors opened told us we chose well. That was some good 'cue! | We boxed up our leftovers, tossed them in Lois' cooler, pulled the map back out, and headed to nearby Pendleton. |
When driving into town, Bec happened to spot the ruins of Tanglewood Mansion off to the left beside the Library, so another U-turn took us to a neat historic site.
