Our travel day yesterday was pleasant, traffic wasn't bad, and it was so good to see the sun after a week of rain at home. We made good time and figured we were about 15 minutes behind Rob and Trisha. A comfort stop and fill-up bumped us back on the road a bit, but we still arrived with 30 minutes of each other.
4:00 rolled around and we headed back to the office to get squared away. Everything was A-OK, I was given the key to cabin #9, and we wound our way around the campground to our little cabin. There are about 14 cabins and each one is a different color. We immediately understood why our keychain was pink. Our cabin is PINK!
We unpacked Splish, made our beds (Bec took the queen and I took the lower bunk), and quickly got settled in. Beds made, towels hung, fridge stocked . . . time for supper!
Rob and Trisha's favorite eating place is the Quarterdeck so that's where we headed. We were early and had the place basically to ourselves. Becky and I qualified for a senior's special and saved a few bucks on our meal. Everything was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, but our remaining suppers will feature Ritchie/Sigmon menus!
There were still lots of folks on the beach enjoying supper and the last rays. We got to a portion of the beach that was closed due to turtle and bird nests, so we backtracked and got on the "inside road". It was there that we saw lots of wildlife (egrets, deer, raccoons, and rabbits).
