I hesitate to even show you a photo of the MESS. Yes, that is mess in all capital letters!! It looks like an A.C. Moore's satellite store in Newton. You name it, I got it in spades...watercolor books and supplies, collage supplies, scrap booking materials, ribbon, rubber stamps and ink pads, paper, beads, mosaic chips, card-making supplies, pen and ink supplies, fabric, equipment to construct any project with the aforementioned supplies!!
You would think with the office supply cabinet out of Daddy's first law office, three book cases, and umpty-ump plastic bins and containers, I would have a handle on it. Nope, it's straight out of a horror movie where art takes over the world.
So today I focused on one thing...my fabric stash. Once upon a time I made flute bags for Native American flutes. I sold them at festivals and on eBay. In the process, I collected quite a bit of fabric and from the looks of it, I still have yards and yards of it left! Once upon a time, I made rag quilts for the Wee Cabin. Even though I completed three of them, I have enough fabric already cut into pieces for several more. What was I thinking?!
So I rounded up all the fabric and put it into cloth and paper bags. Five bags later, it's ready to find a new home.
Karen Heitz, a camping buddy from SC chimed in first for her quilters at church. If for some reason that falls through, my friend Sarah Hollingsworth in Charlotte wants it for her LWR quilters. I'm tickled that it's going to end up in quilts for folks who truly need them!!
So I'm off to a good start, but oh my stars, I'm going to need every single day left in January to pull off Project #2!
