We were on the road by 9:00. It's an ordeal to hitch up The Coffee Cup because I have to use SplashT@B's hitch to get us out of the driveway because of the dip, and then switch over to her much lower one.
We opted to stay completely off the interstates and meander our way down Highway 321 into South Carolina, through Columbia, and all the way to Highway 17 and into Jekyll. It definitely adds time to the trip, but certainly takes away the stress of tractor trailers whizzing past us because we're the slowest one on the road. We had rain off and on for a couple of hours south of Columbia and I was thankful we weren't on I-26 or I-95 during that!
