You would be hard-pressed to have a better day than we did today! We left for the Jim Beam Distillery at 8:45 and got there in plenty of time for the 10 o'clock tour. We saw the whole distilling process, got to help bottle the bourbon, took tons of photos, and finished off with a tasting of any two bourbons of our choice. It was a totally different tour than the one at Maker's Mark. |
For lunch we went to Mark's Feed Store in Louisville for ribs, fried sweet corn, sweet potato fries, baked apples, fried pickles, and a variety of other fantastic dishes!

I certainly hope Sue bought that hat (or fascinator) as the case may be. It is absolutely stunning, especially with that Life is Good shirt!!!

I think that hat cost upwards of 50 bucks!! Even the kid's hats were outrageous. But after all, it's the Derby!
