I am joining Cousin Rob at his R-Pod & Friends Rally here at Raccoon Holler Campground in Glendale Springs until Sunday.
I have been as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs over this trip. For two years I've waited for this day and my stress level was off the chart.
I had all hands on deck this morning getting hitched up (Becky, Roger & Wendy) and out of the driveway. Did I have the electric brakes on the right setting? Was the sway bar in the right position? Would I scrape getting out of the driveway? You name it, the questions and doubts were flying 'round and 'round my head!
I made a stop to get something cold to drink and realized that I breezed right past breakfast and was just about to bypass lunch too.
I picked a pull-thru site, so getting parked and in place was a piece of cake. Rob helped me with the jack stands (something new that SplashT@B doesn't need), I put out my new plastic mat, and then we set up the awning. Voila . . . ready to camp in the Scotty!
Trisha delivered my Welcome Bag, complete with a potholder and name tag to make me official. I put out my guest book for all to sign, propped my feet up, and enjoyed the afternoon under the awning with folks dropping by to visit.
