Every Monday this summer at 4:00 pm, Queen Bee Jennifer Chamberlin goes live with a collage series. She livestreams this Collage Maker Summer Series on her public Facebook group called The Maker Beehive with Jennifer Chamberlin. I've put a link to it over on the right-hand sidebar.
The classes are free to anyone, whether you are an official Maker Bee or not. Jen wants to open up the world of collage to everyone. She shares simple techniques using a minimum of supplies, adds free downloads to use in your collage, and spends an hour or so going through the series steps.
The first Monday we made simple flowers. The second Monday we created clusters and made a paper bag book. Week 3 featured a big 12 x 12 surrealism collage. And last evening we made collaged doll houses. All the classes are available for replay and all the downloads are available too.

Yesterday I finished my big surrealism collage and I can honestly say it ranks in the top three of all the projects, classes, and series I have created in the last four years!!
It's big . . . 12" x 12" and I put it on a canvas panel. All of the images I used came from either Jen's downloads or Daphne's Diaryand Our State magazines. The whole point of our surrealism collages is that anything goes, nothing makes much sense, and you are free to explore total wonkiness!
I hope you enjoy this crazy collage journey into surrealism. See ya back in The Studio soon.
