I've been thinking about creating a new page here for quite some time now . . . pages dedicated solely to my art called The Studio On 6th. What prompted this has everything to do with another new endeavor . . . submitting artwork to Art-o-Mat in hopes of being one of their art vending machine artists. Art-o-Mat machines are retired cigarette vending machines that have been converted to vend original art. There's one less than half a mile from here at our Catawba County Library!
But I'm getting way ahead of myself. These pages are about my art-filled life and all the adventures it's taken me on. It's about the people who have guided, taught, and inspired me. It's about my love of creating things with my hands, learning new techniques, & exploring all kind of mediums.
It's about turning an exposed side porch into a space dedicated for creating art, wrapping its artsy-fartsy arms around me, and bringing me such joy! On this old porch are special pieces of furniture, some innovative storage solutions, and STUFF, lol. Big windows flood the Studio with light and it's a four-season space. A happy space!!
