We pulled out a day early to break up our trip and just meander up through Virginia on Hwy. 29. We were away by 9 and had a beautiful driving day. A stop for gas, a parking lot picnic, a couple driver changes, and our six hours on the road breezed by. We pulled into Shenandoah Hills Campground in Madison, VA about 3:15.
I got us checked in and in no time flat, we were set up in site #10. There aren't too many campgrounds on this eastern side of the Shenandoah Valley and that explains why their rates aren't exactly cheap. Plus, you gotta pay for wifi!! No worries, we are safe, comfortable, and happy to be back on the road.
