Soon cold cases all over North Carolina were filled with the "Nectar of North Carolina." It was known to put a smile on everyone's lips who gave it a try, and the Cheerwine legend was born.
But I do know that Cheerwine lovers who move away from NC and realize it's not available in their new location, will buy cases of it when they come back to visit!
Cheerwine Ice Cream | If you can get your hands on it, it makes a fantastic homemade ice cream! Last year, Cheerwine partnered up with Krispy Kreme to make Cheerwine filled Krispy Kreme doughnuts that almost sent us North Carolinians over the edge with joy! Since we are in the middle of a holiday weekend and ice cream is a staple of holiday picnics, here's the recipe for Cheerwine Ice Cream. |
