Bright and early tomorrow morning, Becky and I are headed out on a big ole Postcard adventure. We'll be visiting a raft of new-to-us places. Our destinations range from battlefields to forts, lakes to mountains, country stores to covered bridges, and guitars to the Olympics. Curious? Take a look at a few original postcards that will be the inspiration for my Postcards in the days to come! We'll be looking for local markets, diners, attractions, motor courts all along our route and we plan on total serendipity to rule our days. So you are invited to pick up your Postcard each evening to see what we found to do, places we stopped to eat, and where we are laying our heads at night! Travel prayers will be appreciated and I'll chat with you tomorrow evening.

Safe travels. If you are looking for something interesting in upstate NY we took a 1.5 hour cruise on part of the Erie canal, went through locks and learned some history. Herkimer, NY

Hi Sarah…we did the entire Erie Canal from Buffalo to Albany several years ago and had a ball. We'll be concentrating on eastern NY and the Adirondacks this time around. Thanks for your note!

We haven't even been on the our adventure for 24 hours and we already made a change in plans to spend a late afternoon and evening in Gettysburg instead of Harrisburg!

Gettysburg instead of Harrisburg . . .?! Wise choice. We live very near Harrisburg and it's not as interesting as Gburg. Enjoy your journey. Comments are closed.
