Tuesday on the Blue Ridge Rally Caravan dawned dreary and cloudy after a night of heavy rains. One of the first things I did was peep at the Swannanoa River to make sure it was still a good distance away from the campsite. You see, photos posted on Monday night on Facebook by others garnered some real concern from our friends for our safely. Most everyone was taking their time easing into their day like we were. The only real thing on our morning agenda was going over to the Wee Cabin to check on things and most importantly, to hang my beautiful new stained glass window presented to me at Friday's BBQ supper in Townsend. |
When people ask me "What's good?", I can honestly say, "everything!" I decided to try a new sandwich, the Caprese Panini, and I do believe it's the best one I've ever had there!
The pups and I took several strolls around the campground with camera in hand, but the conditions for photographs weren't ideal and I wasn't in the mood. The KOA let us gather in the Pavilion for a community supper and we ended up staying there, playing games out of the weather afterwards.
Thanks for stopping by for a Tuesday Caravan Postcard. Please come back tomorrow for white-knuckle driving adventure.
