Built in 1910 by Alfred I. DuPont, this 47,000 square foot mansion with its surrounding 300 acres was absolutely stunning. It was definitely a home suited to the rich and famous and I will be featuring it in a special Postcard when I get back home.
Until then, take a look at a few photos from our visit this morning.
Becky and Beth cooked up the grand idea of a sunset dinner cruise, so we packed the cooler with drinks and BBQ sliders and hit the water with the pups once again! We had the river to ourselves this evening, so we killed the engine and floated during supper.
Tomorrow we head north for Hyde Park and our weekend at the Country Living Fair. Rain is in the forecast for our drive, so we'll just take it easy and take our time. Check in with me for a Postcard from the Roosevelt Inn if you have time tomorrow evening. Nite, nite from the river!!
