Splish, Murphy, and I got to Becky's a bit before 8:00 and we were hitched up in no time flat. After getting air in 6 tires, we were on our way. Both Sophie and Murphy settled in quickly on the back seat and it didn't take long for the puppy snores to start.
Jill the GPS said we would arrive at 12:28. If we had been zipping along at 70 mph instead of Splash's cruising speed of 60, if we didn't make a comfort stop, then a lunch stop, we might have hit that mark. | Our route from Newton to James Island County Park in Charleston brought us down I-77 and I-26. Traffic was heavy and there were 304,864 tractor trailers that passed us, but the trip was uneventful. |
Beach Peeps started rolling in and before we knew it, it was time to head down to Rita's in Folly Beach for supper. We had one thing on our minds - Shrimp and Grits!!
Thanks so much for picking up your Postcard and I hope to have one to send each day on our Coastal Caravan IV. Nite nite from James Island!
