Good Saturday morning to ya! We are totally lazy this morning on the mountain. Most everyone is off on an adventure, but we are sticking close to home on last full day of the MD DOG. Yesterday the 3 Amigas struck out on the Lincoln Highway, US-30 W for a day of junkin'. Our initial plan was to head east on 30 and hit the places between Gettysburg and Hancock, but we changed our minds and headed west instead. |
Four buildings and a couple hours later, we packed our purchases and asked OnStar to take us to the Black Rose Antique Mall in nearby Chambersburg. Becky was a happy camper with several seasonal pieces to add her her collection. I was totally thrilled with rounding out my yard stick purchases for an up coming project. And Sue scored some silver-plated pie cutters for friends.
We were directed to cook one of our Greatest Hits recipes and/or snitch a recipe from another Chef. Since we have over 500 recipes in our Cookbook Files, we had lots to choose from. I prepared my go-to rice casserole and Chef Rob's mac and Cheese.
Sous Chef Becky helped me and even though we were a little late pulling the CDOs off the coals for our 6:00 supper, it was OK because a few other Chefs needed more cooking time too.
Tomorrow we pack up and head home so I might have a Postcard for you and then again, I might not. Just check back by to see. Have a great weekend everyone!!
