It was extraordinary that no one was in a great rush to leave Cunningham Falls State Park once we found out that Bill and Elaine were hosting a breakfast at T@ngerine's spot. Becky and I weren't pulling out for home until Monday, so this was an especially sweet morning for us. Liz made blueberry muffins, Wendy brought her leftover sausage dip over, and we dined on fresh fruit, oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs, and such. |
My good Sister-friend, Rebecca, always has a breakfast on the final morning of a gathering. It's a tradition that we look forward to and something that I wish T@Bbers would start doing. Many of us, me included, often pull out first thing in the morning for the trip home though, making it impractical. I'm not sure how we got on the subject of honey badgers (Wendy's T@B's name), but before we knew it, a YouTube video of the NastyAss Honey Badger was playing and I almost wet my pants laughing at it! It was a great morning with friends as we wrapped up our inaugural DOG. Bill asked who would want to return in 2016 and we all raised our hands. It didn't take long for folks to start claiming sites and making reservations for next August! Thanks for stopping by today for your Postcard and I'll chat with you tomorrow as I continue to wrap up stories and photos from the MD DOG.

More wonderful memories made that weekend. I love that we all just keep adding to the memories each year.

Once upon a time, Becky and I camped pretty much to ourselves. Now we cannot imagine doing that! Camping and being surrounded by friends is the ONLY way we go now. Comments are closed.
