There's also a big Sister gathering down in Florida this weekend called "Swimming With The Manatees". If I had my druthers, I'd be down in warm, sunny Florida with Paula and the gang for a little R & R. But because Pigeon Forge is closer, TN Sharon is in charge, and I need to tie up some loose ends for the upcoming Blue Ridge Rally in nearby Townsend, I'm headed north instead of south.
I'm not pulling SplashT@B nor The Coffee Cup to this event. Instead, I'll be staying in one the apartments in the campground and I'll still be close to all the events.
Here's the press release that will tell you more about the event:
"We’ve rounded up some fine talent for the 13th annual Saddle Up in Pigeon Forge! Come join us for all of the outstanding cowboy entertainment and activities. Our award-winning Stories & Strings returns for a second season, joining three other concerts, a chuck wagon cookoff, Cowboy Dance and Cowboy Church. “Capturing the Old West,” a special photography exhibit and video presentation by award-winning photographer Ken Jenkins, is a new addition for 2013.
Saddle Up guests will hear an all-star lineup of performers including award-winning poets and singers, fancy fiddlers, amazing yodelers and hall-of-fame musicians. We’re proud to welcome Brenn Hill, Chris Isaacs, Waddie Mitchell, The Quebe Sisters Band, Dave Stamey, Sourdough Slim, T. Scot Wilburn and the Shut Up -N- Playboys, and Wylie & the Wild West."
