I will leave you with a little Splash of lime green. See ya back here tomorrow campers!!
Saturday I took a little trip to Fort Mill to deliver a belated birthday present to my sweet Jessie. As I was toodling along on I-77, I glanced to my right to check on the progress of the Cabela's construction and imagine my surprise when I saw this . . . I knew immediately there would be a small detour on the way home! Between shoppers like me and thrill-seekers wanting to ride the world's fastest and highest roller coaster across the street at Carowinds, traffic was bumper to bumper and I parked in the very last parking spot on the very last row. I was hoping to see some grand sculpture outside the front entrance like other Cabela's, but there wasn't one. Instead, there was a trio of fish just inside the door. I loved seeing all the old photographs on the walls of nature and camping. Many of those snapshots were from SC state parks and that was cool. The place was jam packed, so I just strolled around taking it all in and not really doing any serious shopping. The first thing that caught my eye were these ultra-cool Yeti Tanks. I didn't know they made anything like that! The camping section was off to the right and it was paradise if you needed a sleeping bag, tent, camp chair, Lodge Cast Iron, freeze-dried meals, or do-dads galore! The ginormous coffee pot caught my eye in a heartbeat. What would a Cabela's be without the stuffed and mounted animals? The only things there I was really searching for were the Cabela's Chick Magnet caps made famous by T@Bber Bill Lazarro! I didn't buy one, I just wanted to photograph them. I look forward to going back again in the middle of the week when most folks are back at work and school, so I can do some serious shopping. If you are headed north or south on I-77 in Fort Mill, SC, you might want to stretch your legs here and daydream about all the cool camping items you could own.
I will leave you with a little Splash of lime green. See ya back here tomorrow campers!!
