Sitting outside of the offices is an original wooden brining tank. This Tank 16 sat on Row 46 and was one of over 800 in the facility. This particular tank had a capacity of 440 bushels of cucumbers, held 4,363 gallons, and was made of redwood. Tanks were also made of cedar and cypress. Many of those tanks were made from native NC wood and built on site by Mt. Olive employees.
