We made a pit stop in Oakboro and then drove a bit further for lunch at The Old Store. Lunch was cheap, good, and filling and we were ready for the next leg of the journey.
This is the first time camping for us at Myrtle Beach State Park and with the exception of a few airplanes taking off at the nearby airport, it's a lovely place.
It didn't take us but a few minutes to get checked in, find our site, and get parked. Then the hugging began! Oh my it's good to see old friends again. There are ten of us here for this first portion of the Coastal Caravan. I will snap a few photos tomorrow of everyone and share names and faces with you.
I walked down to the beach with Rich and Sue, Sandy and John, while Becky visited with Roger for a while. He drove down from the condo and we got to see him and Sophie before they head back to Newton tomorrow.
Pete had a big campfire for us this evening and the famous T@B story telling began.
I have no idea what is on tomorrow's agenda, so I guess you will just have to check back in later on to see what we are up to. Nite nite from the coast where I'm going to be put to sleep by the sound of waves breaking on the beach!
