We stopped at four different places and while not everyone found cool items, I sure did!! I found a little Golden Book called "Smokey Bear and The Campers". Then I spied a little package with a Scottie pin from the 1940's. Next came a pillow made out of an old brown quilt square with stars. Lastly, I found a green Boy Scout first aid kit with everything intact. Woohoo...junkin' jackpot.
What started out as a drizzly, totally cloudy day, ended up gloriously sunny and warm. Three carloads of us pulled out of the campground at 9:30 and headed to Mt. Pleasant to do some junkin'. Lastly, I found a green Boy Scout first aid kit with everything intact. Woohoo...junkin' jackpot. In between the four antique and thrift shops we took a lunch break at Jack's Cosmic Dogs. What a fun place! Their most famous dog is the Cosmic Dog with blue cheese cole slaw and sweet potato mustard...yummeeeee! We got back to the campground around three and I headed out for another bike ride before finally sitting down to prop my feet up and relax. It didn't take long until the visiting began once again. It was another grand day on James Island and I sure do appreciate you dropping by to pick up your Postcard. Tomorrow our plans are to head into town for a Fort Sumter trip, eat shrimp and grits at Tommy Condon's, and do some touristy shopping. See ya then!!

Oh I am so happy to read about your day and must say a bit green with envy! Way to go on your scores. Wish I was there for Tommy Condons. Best shrimp and grits I ever had was Rita's at Folly. Have a Bloody Mary for me at TC's!!! Comments are closed.
