Back on Jessie's birthday in March, I gave her an unusual present..... a shopping trip to IKEA. She and her best buddies Sarah and Kaylee are preparing for their first apartment in Columbia, SC as they enter their sophomore year at USC, so I knew there would be things that she needs.
Yesterday Becky and I met Jess, the girls, and Miriam at IKEA to do a little shopping.

Yesterday Becky and I met Jess, the girls, and Miriam at IKEA to do a little shopping.
It was fun to watch them and listen to their decorating discussions.....lamps, glass flower vases, color schemes, who was bringing what, kitchen items, silk flowers. I was excited for them!

After a couple hours and several purchases, it was time to part ways.
Miriam and the girls headed back to Fort Mill, Becky turned east for her drive to Cherry Grove Beach, and I scooted over to Cornelius to pick up Mr. Pelican and the shabby chic beach furniture I purchased several weeks ago.
Early tomorrow morning, I'll pull out for a week at the beach with Beck. All the pups are staying here in Newton and that will free me up for some hassle-free painting and redecorating at the condo. I've got the car already packed and I'm excited about my bedroom make-over.
