Now it's time to share the primary reason for our trip. I have secured a seasonal site at Raccoon Holler Campground (Chapter 5 in this two-week whirlwind) and need a trailer to put there. I enlisted the help of Blue Ridger and dear friend Randy to help me in my search for a trailer. He gave me a list of half a dozen trailers to research further and consider.
On that list was the Oliver and I kept coming back to it over and over again. Chapter 5 was followed by 6 and 7 and before I knew it, we were on the road to Hohenwald, TN and the mystery began to unfold.
I had scheduled a meeting with sales associate, Kelly Robinson and we met her upon our arrival. Murphy and Sophie were safely deposited at Greenview Veterinary Hospital for day care and we were excited about our factory tour. After the tour we grabbed a bite of comfort food at Sonic before picking the pups back up.
I have watched every YouTube video I could find about the Oliver Trailer, had talked to Mary and the Flushers (Chapter 6), and pretty much knew that this would be the trailer I wanted to take to Raccoon Holler.
Becky and I spent the next hour and a half in the showroom picking out colors and then with Kelly choosing options for the Ollie I was about to order! Here are the details . . .
My flooring will be the striped Walnut & Holly. There were 5 wood-grain patterns and 1 stone to choose from, but I had my sights and heart set on the Walnut & Holly. There were 7 cloth options, but I wanted the look and durability of leather, so I chose the Brown Synthetic Leather, a premium marine-grade vinyl that has a textured pattern. The next choice to be made was countertops. Available is a custom-molded fiberglass which is gel-coated, and then polished to resemble granite. They have 4 available colors and I went with Tahoe to get the brown flecks, but with a darker background to contrast to the white interior of the Ollie. Like Mary, I went with the frosted upper cabinet doors. |
There are more interwoven chapters to this story for sure and in the end the whole adventure of How The Stars Aligned will fall in place. Thanks so much for dropping by to pick up Chapter 4's Postcard! See ya tomorrow.
