Because the Grand Illumination festivities are always on the first or second Sunday of December, we could never schedule a trip then. After we both retired, our Williamsburg travels have changed to earlier in the month. As a result, we get to see the fireworks, have a big variety of programs to choose from, AND go to the arts and crafts show at Trinkle Hall on the campus of William and Mary, held on Saturday morning.
We just stood there in awe with our jaws wide open at the color and selection and variety. Becky and I both have many of the ornaments from Mom Ritchie's and Mom Sigmon's collections that we treasure.
Becky and Suzy chatted about a custom wreath with gold balls and trim. Imagine Bec's surprise when she got an email from Suzy saying it was finished! A quick 30-minute trip to Hampton was all it took to pick it up in person. That was a treat because we got to chat about how they are made and see many of her personal decorations in person.
I am in love with the wreaths that have the old Christmas lights on them and when I saw one sitting on her kitchen counter, I knew I had to have it! So we both drove home with special one-of-a-kind Georgia Peachez Wreaths! |
Happy Wednesday everyone!!
P.S....thanks for the little reindeer surprise Suzy!!
