We gathered all our junkers and headed out in search of treasure. First stop was at a nice antique mall called Lost In Time. For once Becky didn't buy one single thing. I on the other hand, found a pristine tin picnic basket and with a price tag of $15 and I could not walk away without it.
We got a lazy, lazy start to our day and postponed getting out of bed until the pups told us it was time about eight o'clock. We stayed warm and toasty inside despite temps in the low 20s last night. The little ceramic heater did its job well. We gathered all our junkers and headed out in search of treasure. First stop was at a nice antique mall called Lost In Time. For once Becky didn't buy one single thing. I on the other hand, found a pristine tin picnic basket and with a price tag of $15 and I could not walk away without it. Our lunch spot of choice was Bib's in downtown Winston-Salem. Pimiento cheese seemed to be a popular food of the day, featured in lots of dishes. I got a Pimiento & Bacon Sandwich and D'Nise got the Pimiento Cheeseburger. Everyone else opted for barbecue. It was just as good as the last time we ate there! Next stop was V's, an eclectic shop with a little bit of everything. Sue is notorious for buying furniture when we camp and relying on Rich to somehow pack it in the car. Today she did it again after finding two chairs that looked like cast iron but were actually heavy-duty aluminum. Everyone had to sit in them and give their seal of approval. Back at Tanglewood, all the remaining DOGsters arrived, Suzanne delivered eggs, and preparations for our potluck supper began. Just as we were about to sit down for supper at Elaine & Bill's, it started sprinkling, so we picked up and packed up everything and moved over to the picnic shelter. Since this is a gathering of camp Dutch oven Chefs, we had quite the spread for supper - beef stew, shrimp and grits, pizza bombs, squash panzanella with smoked apple sage sausage, rice casserole, shrimp and rice, sausage stew, not to mention apple and peach cobblers for dessert! My oh my can the DOGsters do some mighty fine camp cooking. Thanks to all my camp Dutch oven peeps for joining me for this little do-da and thanks to all of you for picking up your Postcard and joining in my fun! See ya tomorrow.

Hi. Looks like so much fun. Love reading your postcards. Can you believe I am such a cog person? Going to a big dog adoption shoe today where I will have a booth showing all my shop things. So fun.
