This word has its origin from my days at summer camp as a teenager. My first happy was in my Christmas stocking on July 25, 1962.....my counseler gave me a little brass frog that I still have to this day! At 50 years old, it now qualifies as an antique happy.
That definition should set the stage for today's Postcard. While at the Country Living Fair in Stone Mountain, GA last weekend, I was given two happies from friends.
Happy number 1 was from my T@Bbin' sister and junkin' buddy, Sandi from Cape Cod. She and her husband John were there for the weekend and even though they weren't in our loop at the campground, I did get to see them several times. We gathered at their site on Thursday night for supper and a campfire and it was then that Sandi gave me a happy!
It was a sweet little tin with a basket-design and lid with a latch. Inside was a bag of coffee candies. You can predict what comes next.....it's perfect for The Coffee Cup!!
I hope everyone has a grand weekend and who knows, maybe you'll be blessed with a happy too!! Thanks for joining me this week for Postcards From The Road.
P.S. Here's what that little frog looks like...
