Here's a quick overview of our Saturday...
Nite, nite from the 2016 Blue Ridge where Joe played Taps for us. I'll be chatting with you tomorrow from home.
Today was the final day of the 2016 Blue Ridge Rally and I'm not sure I could have squeezed in one more minute of fun. I am pretty pooped tonight, so this Postcard will be a shorty. My plan, once I get home, is to take a couple weeks and fill you in on ALL the details of our tremendous BRR! Here's a quick overview of our Saturday... Many of our New England Blue Ridgers pulled out for home today and I got up before 7:00 to give John & Sandi goodbye hugs. It was a misty morning so I snapped a few photos of the peacefulness. After our Coffee Klatch in the Pavilion, the Blue Ridge Flea Market was in full swing with soap, quilted items, camping gear, garden art, and much, much more for sale. For lunch, Becky and I headed into Waynesville with Dave and Sheila. While in the Mast General Store, we ran into a dozen other folks and we all walked across the street to Boojum Brewing Company for lunch together. We timed our return to the campground perfectly and I was able to make it to the CDO BRR Anniversary Party at 2:00. Our Dutch oven Chefs celebrated one year of cooking and we had a grand party thanks to Chef Bill and Chef Elaine. Becky, Elaine, D'Nise, and I decided to hang around and play cards during Afternoon Cheer hosted by Rich and Sue in the Pavilion at 4:00. We played for two solid hours and just as we finished our last hand, folks were strolling in with leftovers for our Hobo Supper at 6:00! As soon as we cleared the tables from supper, it was time for the Little Red Campfire Trivia Night. We had a great crowd and teams of two were vying to win a Little Red Campfire In A Can. After five rounds of questions, the grand prize winners were Becky and Deb! Deb will be taking the campfire with them on their trip to Michigan that starts tomorrow. That's the real condensed version of my day. Tomorrow we pack up, tell everyone goodbye, and head for home. As Liz says, "I am all funned out!"
