Instead of stopping at King's in Kinston on the way home, we opted for a place closer to Newton for four reasons. 1) it was recommended to me at breakfast last Sunday by a friend 2) it was in Bob Garner's book 3) Becky wanted to get a pound of cue to take home to Roger and didn't want it riding in the car for four hours, and 4) we ate a pack of cheese crackers and had a Fresca when we left New Bern at noon and weren't hungry yet.
This explains why we made our last stop of the July 'Cue Crawl at Speedy Lohr's BBQ of Arcadia.
They let us each try a skin and to be perfectly honest with you, I simply cannot imagine eating a skin sandwich! Crispy, yes. Smoky flavor, yes. In a sandwich, I'll pass.
