Cooking 18th-century recipes using only wood fire coals and cast iron was a real challenge. Our dishes included a Ragout of Chicken Pie, Spinach With Cream, fresh Salad with Mustard Dressing, and Crispy Cinnamon Waffles for dessert and after we finished all our dishes, we sat down together and ate!
I fixed roasted rainbow carrots as my contribution to the feast. On my plate you would have seen Cousin Rob's mac and cheese, as well as his smoked barbecue ribs. Other dishes included egg drop soup, corned beef and cabbage, BBQ meatballs, salads, butternut squash pizza, chocolate cake, banana pudding cake, and a coconut concoction.
