I took oodles and oodles of photos, but would have to sit down with the map to be able to identify the streets, squares, and houses I captured. So instead of showing you that side of Savannah, I want to show you the faces of my Beach Peeps..
Today was our first cloudy day on the entire Coastal Caravan. Did we mind? Not a bit because we spent the day in Savannah doing what tourists do . . . riding The Old Savannah trolley, hanging out the window snapping photos, waving to people on the streets, eating lunch together at The Shrimp Factory, shopping along the riverfront, tasting and buying Byrd's famous cookies, and enjoying each other's company all around the city. I took oodles and oodles of photos, but would have to sit down with the map to be able to identify the streets, squares, and houses I captured. So instead of showing you that side of Savannah, I want to show you the faces of my Beach Peeps.. Do I ever get tired of hanging out with these people? Heck no! We gathered in the Pavilion for a community supper, then moved outside for a campfire. After we ran out of firewood, we gathered in front of the TV to listen to the baseball game while playing cards. This is what I look forward to for 49 weeks out of the year!! Thanks so much for dropping by to pick up your Postcard. It's time for me to hit the sack after a great day with friends. Tomorrow I get to do it all over again. See ya then.
