Yesterday was a fun day, a wet day, a hot day, but a day of good fun and food with friends. Becky and I started out at a leisurely pace with breakfast in camp. We moved our chairs every little bit to follow the shade from the lone tree at our site.
With the temperatures skyrocketing up and up, we made a stop at Austin's for some homemade ice cream before heading back to Beech Fork.
Rob and I pulled out our Dutch oven supply buckets, set up our cooking areas, and commenced our supper dishes. I fixed pineapple baked beans, while Rob did two pots of country ribs. About 20 minutes into our cooking, it started raining again so we pulled the Werner cooking platform under the dome to protect the coals.
Half a dozen of us enjoyed the ribs, beans, and marinated coleslaw and potato salad that complimented the Dutch oven dishes. Rob and I knocked out another CDO award by doing shared cooking and it was a fun time!
