Our first stop was at the Oconee Heritage Center where we enjoyed walking through a spacious exhibit hall with a vast collection of artifacts illustrating the diverse history and heritage of Oconee. We saw local Cherokee artifacts and artwork, an old canoe carbon dated to 1730, medical and musical items, textile and trade exhibits, military, and life-at-home things. Great local museum!
Thanks for dropping by today for your Carolina Lakeside Postcard and I'll chat with you from Croft tomorrow evening.
