I don't have a whole lot of photos to share with you this evening. I think I'll take the easy Postcard route tonight and just list what all I did.
- drove out to Resort Glass to pick up the mirror for over the dresser
- went to Lowes where I picked up half a dozen paint chips, priced 1x4x8 pine boards, bought hardware for hanging the mirror, picked out a can of spray paint to paint a metal picture frame, and found a tiny paint roller and tray
- put hardware on the mirror and hung it over the dresser
- hung my Blue Crabs birthday picture
- hung a huge heavy surfing poster that I'll tell you about tomorrow
- moved a bookcase and display stand back into bedroom and got all the sand buckets, sifters, and shovels back where they belong
- hauled Mr. Pelican up the stairs and put him in his permanent place
- made a tough decision about paint color for the headboards with Becky's help
- lunch break with Jack & Nikki, Sharon & Victor, Adam & Chelsea
- went back to Lowes and bought 20 1x4x8 boards, a quart of Brazilian Blush paint, two nautical lights and wiring, wood glue, and wood screws
- went to a consignment store simply because we saw two pink metal chairs and a table outside (they weren't for sale)
- dropped by Cottage Antiques because we'd never been there
- went to Eugene Platts for steamed shrimp and flounder for supper (Becky's treat!)
- switched mattresses on the twin beds
- unloaded all the lumber, carried them up a flight of stairs, and stacked them on the porch in anticipation of painting after supper
- Becky fried fresh okra to go along with our shrimp and fish.....I made a cauliflower dish that she actually liked.....LOL
- rolled all the boards and cleats with paint
- brought everything in two hours later as thunderstorms and darkness were rolling in
