When the phone rang about 10:30 and it was Becky, I knew she wanted to go somewhere. Sure enough, she was off to Mooresville to the stamping store and wanted to know if I wanted to go too. What do you think?
Wendy went along for the ride and the three of us picked up a few items we couldn't live without at Stamper's Alley. Every time we've been through Mooresville for the last several months, we've seen a little hand-made sign by the road that said "antiques". If there's any one sign that will get my attention, you know that's it!
We turned left onto Rinehardt Road and sitting at the top of the hill was a gorgeous old log house that had this sign on the side of it.
We were greeted immediately by shop owner Ginger Sparks. She told us a brief history of the two buildings, the one on the right being built 30 years before the Civil War and home to a family of twelve. It was moved to the site from Cool Springs. The other house it is attached to is part of the old Miller's farmhouse. Together they provide a space full of furniture, shabby chic items, kitchenware, toys, books, jewelry, candles, and much, much more. |
It's a given that we'll go back there often! I'll leave you with some photos and then wrap things up with a link to Ginger's Facebook page and website.
