As I mentioned, this was a gathering of Dutch oven cooks who all attended the Blue Ridge Rally last year and got hooked on these cast iron wonders thanks to Bill, Elaine, and Lois. Since their workshop on May 2nd, we have cooked our little hearts out and now consider ourselves worthy of the title of Chef.
On Saturday evening, we had a big Dutch oven potluck supper, where 12 Chefs and 3 Sous Chefs created magic in a most delicious way. Preparations began mid-afternoon as coal chimneys were lighted, ingredients were laid out, and dishes were put together. I was busy making lasagna, so I sent Becky out with the camera to catch all the action.
